We seek to provide a vibrant, friendly, caring and collaborative design focused environment for our teams in London and Berlin. Our London office at the Record Hall is located on Baldwin's Gardens, next to the hustle and bustle of Leather Lane in Hatton Garden, whilst our Berlin office is located on Möckenstraße in Kreuzberg, within close proximity to Viktoria Park and the bars and restaurants of Bergmannkiez.

As a practice, we value inclusivity, humility, friendliness, loyalty and the respect of others. We value a healthy work life balance and take care to ensure our projects are resourced to be sustainable and enjoyable. To help bring our teams together, we hold regular social events throughout the year including monthly team lunches, pub outings, building visits, sporting events, quiz nights and end of week get togethers. Our London and Berlin office come together for Christmas and for our summer trips which have included visits to Hamburg, Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, Bath and Cambridge as well as to our two home cities

We are a practice with a long history of welcoming people from all cultures, genders, abilities and social backgrounds and actively encourage applications from under represented groups.

We have provided educational and career support for many who have come through our practice, regularly mentoring people through school and college work experience programmes and internships in addition to RIBA Part I, Part II and Part 3 qualifications. We are active participants in the RIBA's work placement programme and we participate in Sheffield University's Collaborative Practice programme. We provide a full CPD programme that is organised to ensure that our team complete the durations and subject fields required by the RIBA. We also take great pride in mentoring people through their career with the practice and promoting from within, including members of our Senior Team who have been with us since the beginning of their careers.

We have held a number of our own events and exhibitions. These have included 'Berlin Calling' which celebrated the opening of our Berlin office and the launch our Twelve Sites research project with an exhibition and party in our London home that saw us turn the Record Hall into a Berlin nightclub complete with Berlin DJ and bouncer. Our Fragments exhibition of seven 1:33 models of seven projects of seven different scales and typologies formed part of the London Design Festival and Clerkenwell Design Week, with one of its models later featured in the Royal Academy's Summer Exhibition. We also held an exhibition and series of talks for our 'Living Above the Shop' research project that explored the past, present and future relationship between retail and residential uses and our experience in the field of retail led mixed-use projects. The event was held in a shop on London's famous Sicilian Avenue, one of the first examples of purpose built residential above retail in the capital. We've also been regular participants in the Museum of Architecture's, 'Gingerbread City', an annual festive exhibition in London (and NYC) where architects, engineers, and designers create a city made entirely of gingerbread buildings, places and spaces.
