Hutchinson & Partners are an experienced award winning architecture practice based in London and Berlin. We provide architectural services across all project stages for clients who range from large scale developers to one-off individual clients. Our experience covers most sectors but our expertise is in the fields of mixed-use, residential and workplace. Our residential experience includes BTR, PBSA, Co-Living, apart-hotel and hotel. Our projects include new-build, renewal, refurbishment, tall buildings, heritage buildings, interiors and masterplanning. Whilst many of our projects are large in scale we have also undertaken a number of smaller scale projects from the headquarters for a charity through to private houses.

We combine creativity with commercial understanding and deliverability, tailoring individual solutions to each and every project. We have a record of gaining planning consents that maximise a site's potential with contextually driven responses of architectural and placemaking quality. To date we have gained planning consent for over 50 buildings, 3,800 homes; 50,000m2 of office space and 40,000m2 of commercial space. In London we have worked on projects in the boroughs of Barnet, Brent, Camden, Croydon, Ealing, Islington, Lambeth, OPDC, RBKC, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets and Wandsworth. Our larger scale projects include multiple stakeholder consultations ranging from local interest groups through to the GLA and Historic England. In Berlin we have gained permissions for mixed-use projects in Friedrichsein-Kreuzberg and Pankow. We have also built an extensive knowledge of the city through our Twelve Sites research project. 

We have taken a number of residential and workplace projects through the delivery stages including progressing current residential projects to Gateway 2 submission. We have experience of modern methods of construction including timber structures.

We have a highly experienced and well established senior team with expertise across all fields in both planning and delivery, with a depth of senior resource that allows us to provide our clients with the high quality of service for which we're known.

Our projects have seen us collaborate with many of the most highly respected consultants, specialists, designers and agencies in the field of property and the built environment both in London and Berlin. This has included collaborations with a number of London based architecture practices on major projects. 

Our work has been exhibited by the Royal Academy of Art, The NLA (New London Architecture) and the Venice Biennale. We have held exhibitions as part of the London Architecture Festival and Clerkenwell Design Week. Our work has been published in the Architectural Review, Architect's Journal, Building Design, Wallpaper, Dezeen, Architecture Today, Arch Daily, Property Week and the Estates Gazette. We are members of Architects Declare and adopters of the RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge. We are sponsors of the Architecture Foundation and participate in the RIBA's work experience programme. We have also featured on Radio 4's today programme and on the podcast series 'Coaches on the Couch' discussing our experience of working in London and Berlin.
