We are delighted to announce that planning permission has been granted for our Zossener Straße project in Berlin-Kreuzberg. The approval marks an important milestone for a project that Hutchinson & Partners has been involved with since a successful Vorbescheid was secured in 2022.

Located on a prominent corner site between Zossener Straße and Marheinekeplatz, the proposals will replace an existing single-storey retail building with a new mixed-use development that repairs and completes a key section of the Kreuzberg urban block. The scheme will deliver 44 new homes above a ground floor retail unit, bringing much-needed housing while strengthening the local high street and public realm.

The six-storey building, with an additional roof level, has been carefully designed to respond to the surrounding Berlin streetscape. The architecture continues the established block perimeter, while the articulated façades, expressed corner and distinctive roof form create a strong presence within the townscape.

We look forward to progressing the scheme towards delivery and contributing a new residential and retail destination to the heart of Kreuzberg.
